The two new 4G based phones from Samsung have been launched in India through Flipkart. Yes you are right they are the Samsung J5 and J7 devices. For the first time Samsung has created devices within a reasonable correlation between the price and the specifications. The J5 will be priced at 11,999Rs, the J7 will sell at 14,999Rs. Both these devices are 4G dual sim devices and run with Android L 5.1 out of the box. The phone will launch on August 3 will delivered by Augusts 12 when pre-ordered.
For the specifications:-
For Samsung Galaxy J5:- It runs on a 64bit Snapdragon 410 quadcore processor at 1.2ghf clock frequency. It will also have 1.5GB of RAM available for smooth mutli-tasking. It comes with 8GB internal memory which can be expanded upto 128GB via an SD card. It has dual sim 4G support. The back camera is a 13MP HD camera with flash. The front shooter is of 5MP and again it too has a front flash. It comes with a 5” Super Amoled HD display, which is quite good.
For Samsung Galaxy J7:- The J7 is the elder brother of the J5. The J7 has a 5.5” phablet type Super Amoled HP IPS display. Again the camera is 13MP back and 5MP front, both equipped with flash. On the memory part it is 1.5GB again. Storage is 16GB and expandable to 128 via an SD card. It has an Octa Core CPU, powered by Samsung Exynos [1.4Ghz+1Ghz] processor. It backs a 3000mAH battery.
Both phones are great devices. They also come with good sound enhancements so its no issue if you are a music junkie. You can pre-order now at Flipkart and expected delivery is by August 1. I would advice to get the J5 since it has a qualcomm processor it may see some custom ROM development. I think Samsung is catching up with the competition and introducing more budget friendly phones.
