OnePlus has announced a new colour variant of its 2017 device, the OnePlus 5. The phone will be available in a Soft Gold Limited Edition in India.
Besides the change in the colour, there is nothing new in the variant, as in terms of technical specifications, it is identical to the 6GB RAM/64GB storage variant of the Slate Gray and Midnight Black variants.
And the same can be said of the price as well, i.e., the OnePlus 5 Soft Gold Limited Edition will also retail for the same price at Rs. 32,999, as the other colours.
OnePlus recently released an update for the OnePlus 5 which greatly improved 4K videos, thanks to EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization). Prior to this update the phone was restricted to EIS for 1080p Full; HD videos only. With the new update however, it may be worth investing in the OnePlus 5, as it has no major issues now, except for the inverted display causing the alleged jelly scrolling.
The OnePlus 5 Soft Gold Limited Edition will go on sale at 0:00 hours on August 9th, (midnight today) at the OnePlus India online store. It is unclear if the device will be sold on Amazon India's store.
