The Raspberry Pi foundation has officially launched the second version of their low cost computer called, Raspberry Pi 2.
The Pi 2 is six times faster than the original version, and runs on a 900MHz quad-core Broadcom BCM2835 ARM Cortex-A7 CPU.
It comes with 4 USB ports,and also has 1GB LPDDR2 SDRAM, a Micro SD slot, an ethernet port, and can be powered by a plugging in a 5V micro USB adapter. The ARM7 architecture allows it to run Ubuntu, and even Windows 10.
Microsoft has announced that the Makers community, will get a Raspberry Pi compatible version of Windows 10 for free. This will be available through the Windows Developer Program for IoT (Internet of Things).
So you can buy a Raspberry Pi 2 for just $35, and get Windows 10 for it at no extra charge.
