Mega Man for Android and iOS is coming soon, according to the retro game's studio, Capcom, which announced the news on its website. But it will only be released for Japan.
The popular NES game series featuring "Rock", a man turned to an Android called Megaman, will be released with support for touch screen devices, a screenshot of which you can see above.
It was only recently, that Nintendo tried its hand with its first Super Mario game for mobile, Super Mario Run, which debuted a week ago, for iOS. The endless runner game, which has a $10 In App Purchase to unlock the full game, has been criticized for its premium price in a genre which is considered free to play. Adding to its woes, was the game's always online DRM, which saw Nintendo drawing a lot of flak from gamers, which saw the company facing a drop in its Stock Market shares.
Hopefully, Capcom's efforts will be much better. And we think it will be, considering Capcom already has a positive presence on the Google Play Store.
Mega Man 1 to 6, with 8-bit graphics will be released on January 6th, 2017 for Android and iOS devices, in Japan. Although, mobile gaming website, Touch Arcade, reports that there may be chances of the Mega Man mobile games, being released, for the rest of the world.
