Xiaomi has launched three new budget phones, called the Redmi 4A, Redmi 4 and Redmi Pro in China. The phones are quite similar apart from difference in the chipset and memory.
The Redmi 4A sports a 5-inch 720p HD display, runs on MIUI 8 and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor with 2GB of RAM. The phone comes with 16GB of internal storage, and a
microSD card which supports up to 128GB of exapandable memory. The device is backed by a 3,120 mAh battery and features a 13 megapixel rear camera with phase detect auto focus and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. The device supports 4G LTE and VoLTE networks.

The Redmi 4 comes in two variants, one with a 5.0-inch 720p HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset, 2GB RAM, and 16GB storage, and another variant with a 5.0-inch 1080p HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 3GB RAM, and 32GB.
The Redmi 4 has been priced at 499 Yuan (about Rs. 5,000), while the Redmi 4A 2GB/16GB/SD430 has been priced at 699 Yuan (about Rs. 7,000). The Redmi 4A Pro with 3GB/32GB/SD625 has been priced at 899 Yuan (around Rs.9,000).
Since these devices are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, it is possible they could be launched in India, as the ban from 2 years ago only orbids Xiaomi from selling MediaTek powered devices.
