In case, you are wondering how Micromax and Xolo can pack impressive hardware at such prices, they are a result of Microsoft’s decision to not charge OEMs for the Windows Phone Operating System, for any device that has a display which is 9 inches or below.
Earlier this year, Microsoft had announced that they have partnered with 9 OEMS to make Windows Phone devices: Foxconn, Gionee, Lava (Xolo), Lenovo, LG, Longcheer, JSR, Karbonn and ZTE. So be prepared for more wonderful Windows Phone devices.
