iolo System Mechanic is a popular tweaking and cleaning tool for Windows computers.
It has been around for 14 years, since it’s launch way back in 1999.
Like all registry cleaners and system tweaking tools, System Mechanic requires cautious use. I would recommend this tool, only to people who are tech savvy. Because if you delete Registry items blindly, you could crash your computer.
That being said, System Mechanic does have precautionary methods, for eg: it uses a Registry backup system before cleaning the redundant items.
Let’s take a look at what System Mechanic 12.5 has to offer:
The latest major addition to the software is LiveBoost. It’s purpose is to improve the real time performance of the computer.
LiveBoost is actually a collection of three real-time optimization tools: OptiCore, RAMJet and AcceleWrite.
OptiCore is designed to optimize the CPU’s maximum responsiveness, thus providing a smoother real-time performance experience and reducing lags to a minimum. It will optimize computers no matter the hardware, be it a Single/Dual/Quad core processor or running on Windows XP/Vista/7 or 8. (Including Windows 8.1)
RAMJet, as the name suggests frees the RAM used by applications. Normally applications tend to use more RAM when they have been kept open for a long time, RAMJet targets to free the memory from these memory leaks, and make your PC faster.
AcceleWrite helps your hard drives perform better by monitoring how the data is written onto them. This is sort of Disk Defrag done in real-time, and should work effectively on solid state drives and normal hard disk drives.
In addition to LiveBoost, System Mechanic has lots of other features.
