A retail box of the Samsung Galaxy S9 has been leaked on reddit, and it has the technical specifications printed on the back. The leak has not been confirmed yet, but does appear legit.
According to the retail box pictured here, the Samsung Galaxy S9 will feature a 5.8-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display with rounded corners. The phone is IP 68 certified for water and dust resistance, and supports wireless charging.
The selfie lens on the S9 will be an 8 megapixels auto-focus front camera, which is accompanied by an Iris Scanner. The phone has dual rear cameras which are 12 megapixels Super Speed Dual Pixel lenses, with an f/1.5 and an f/2.4 aperture respectively. The cameras will support Super slow-mo (slow motion) video recording.
The Galaxy S9 has 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage, and is protected by Knox. The device has stereo speakers and will come with earphones, both tuned by AKG.
Does the retail box look legit? To me, it does.
Here is my Galaxy S7 box in comparison, and the font, design, etc do appear similar on the S9. Still, take the leak with a pinch of salt. We will know what the Galaxy S9 really boasts, when the phone is launched at the MWC 2018 tech show at the end of February.
