After a couple of boring months, Sony’s PlayStation Plus is back with a bang with the free games for March 2018. The first game which you get in the PS Plus Games for March 2018, is Bloodborne.
For those unaware, this is part of the Soulsborne (Dark Souls) franchise. The action RPG for the PS4 is set in Yharnam, a fictional city in the Victorian era, where the inhabitants are affected by a mysterious blood-borne disease. The game is tough as nails, but is actually easier than any in the Dark Souls series. It is worth noting that you don’t get the The Old Hunters DLC for free.
Next in the list of free games is Ratchet and Clank. This cartoon movie platformer is a cult classic, especially for those who played the PS2 version. Though it is considered a remake of the original game, in my opinion, the 2016 edition of Ratchet and Clank is one of the finest games ever made for the PlayStation 4.
You also get the following games for free this month:
Legend of Kay, PS3
Mighty No. 9, PS3 (Cross Buy with PS4)
Claire: Extended Cut, PS Vita (Cross Buy with PS4)
Bombing Busters, PS Vita (Cross Buy with PS4).
According to Sony’s announcement, there is some bad news for PlayStation 3 and Vita owners. Starting from March 8, 2019, the PS Plus monthly games will be PS4 exclusive. This means no more PS3 or Vita games will be given for free from next year. But your current collection of PS3 games, and any games which will be given from now until the said date, will be yours to keep as long as you continue to be a subscriber of PS Plus.
This may be Sony’s way of getting people to upgrade to the PS4, but it is an understandable marketing decision since PS3 games are cheaper anyway.
