Bitdefender one of the most popular antivirus company based in Romania has released its range of 2015 products. Bitdefender offers Bitdefender Antivirus, Bitdefender Internet Security and Bitdefender Total Security. They were launched yesterday and will be offered as a free upgrade to existing users via the Bitdefender My Security web panel. The price for the products is a bit on the higher side this year.
The Bitdefender Antivirus Plus costs 39.95$, while the Internet Security costs 79.95$ and total security costs 89.95$. This prices have increased a bit this year, but Bitdefender is known to launch sales and discounts. There is also Bitdefender Windows 8 security specifically tailored for Windows 8 and 8.1 devices, but please note that this uses the Bitdefender 2014 engine but should be upgraded pretty soon to the latest engine.
The new features in Bitdefender 2015 include setting up of various profiles and modes to make Bitdefender less intrusive and customized to your needs. There are movie, work and game profiles and Bitdefender detects them automatically and gives you a lag free and intrusion free experience. Bitdefender also comes with startup-advisor to monitor startup programs. You also get Parental controls and improved Safe browsing which is Bitdefender's sandboxed interface to browse and conduct financial and sensitive transactions easily. PC-Tuneup is now been added in all editions of Bitdefender to clean the clutter in your company. Frankly speaking Bitdefender is having a strong offering this year. Bitdefender also is offering a new and simplified user interface and easy to manage security reports.
Note:- We have come to notice a small bug with Bitdefender products on Windows 8 and 8.1 systems where it is turning off Windows updates and its notifications while installation. Please manually enable it after install and make sure Windows updates are switched on.
