Xiaomi's virtual reality headset, Mi VR Play will be launched next week in India. The device, which is called, Mi VR Play, is a Google Cardboard compatible headset, but does not support Google's DayDream View.
The Mi VR Play can be used to watch 360º photos, videos, apps, and for playing VR games. The headset measures 201 x 107 x 91 mm, and weighs 208.7g. It can be used with devices which are between 4.7 inches to 5.7 inches in size. The Mi VR Play is made of Lycra fabric (nylon and spandex) and Ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA), has textured metal button, and an anti-reflective lens.
The Mi VR Play will be launched on December 21st in India. The company’s Global VP, Hugo Barra, announced that the Mi VR Play headset will be priced at Rs.999. The Mi store Page for the VR headset is live already, so we are not sure if it will be available on Amazon, or exclusive to Xiaomi's e-Store. The store listing does not mention if the headset, comes with the head straps included in the box, or not.
Note: Please ensure that you have a phone with a gyroscope, else the Virtual Reality motion will not work.
