Earlier we have posted on How to get WhatsApp Call option, which requires a call from a user who got the call feature activated already. Now you can get the WhatsApp Call feature with out any calls from others.
To get this feature what you have to do is upgrade your WhatsApp to the latest version. The latest version of WhatsApp is 2.12.19. You can check your version my Settings => Help => About
If you have an older version you can get it from the official WhatsApp website here. As of now this feature is available only for Android devices and it is expected to get this feature on iOs devices soon.
Before installing the downloaded APK file make sure that you have enabled the “Unknown Sources” under security settings.
After installation just check whether the feature is activated or not. If it is activated you will see 3 tabs, Calls, Chat, Contacts. The Calls tab will show call history. Chat will be showing the previous chats you had, and contacts tab will make it easy to find and start a call or chat with a contact.
Last time WhatsApp stopped activating the Call features after few days, so make sure you get this feature as soon as possible. It may be permanent but no official announcement from WhatsApp so far.
You will be able to make calls only if the other contact is also using a WhatsApp version which supports call feature.
