VoLTE for OnePlus 2 is here. Jio users can rejoice, as the newly released OxygenOS 3.5.5 OTA Update brings support for the most requested feature.
Other new features in the update include an app lock, batery saving mode, gaming mode, more options for the Alert Slider, new stock apps for the Clock, Calculator and Messages, which will replace Google apps, which you have not updated. This seems like a bizzare move.
There have been some optimizations for the general system stability, Shelf (Launcher), some changes to the OxygenOS UI, and the clock app's UI. The volume adjustment bar has been redesigned too. And OnePlus says in the change-log, that most of phone’s settings will be reset to default after updating to OxygenOS 3.5.5. This includes any customization you may have made, such as the device name, the ring tones, the accent colours, the status bar battery indicator etc. You can change them back of course.
The OxygenOS 3.5.5 OTA Update also includes the December Android Security Patch from Google. Before updating please read what OnePlus has to say about users who wish to downgrade from this version.
The update sadly, is still based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. We are not sure when or if the Android 7.0 Nougat for OnePlus 2 will be released.
