Earlier this year, we reported about Microsoft planning to launch Tablets for Rs.10,000.
The company had announced in April, that they would not be charging OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) for Windows OS, on devices with devices less than 9.0”.
Microsoft have delivered their promise, and shown that they are capable of competing in the Tablet market by announcing two new budget friendly tablets. The first of the two is the 8.0” EM-i8080 from the Chinese manufacturer, Emdoor. This tablet has been priced at $100, which is about (Rs 6,500). Yes, you read that right.
Technical Specifications of the Emdoor EM-i8080:

The second tablet is the Encore 7 from Toshiba. Microsoft's Corporate Vice President, Nick Parker, unveiled the device at Computex 2014. It was developed by Microsoft, Toshiba and Intel.

- Display: 7-inches, with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels
- RAM: 1GB

The price of the Encore 7 is unknown at the moment, but it should be around $100-169 ( approx Rs. 10,000).
