THQ Nordic has announced some rather unexpected news, the company, formerly called Nordic Games has released a remastered version of the classic Action RPG, Titan Quest (Immortal Throne), called Titan Quest Anniversary Edition. Titan Quest Anniversary Edition includes all features from Immortal Throne too, including the campaign ACT, items and more.

Check your Steam library, and you should find the new game listed just below the original version. The giveaway is to celebrate the tenth anniversary since the game was launched by the original developers, (the now defunct) THQ.

Nordic’s announcement page on Steam, also states another reason as to why they are giving the game for free. It is to say thanks to their fans, and also to celebrate the renaming from Nordic Games to THQ Nordic.

So what’s new in Titan Quest Anniversary Edition?

Well, there are around 1,261 changes to the game including many bug fixes and improvements, dozens of new heroes and bosses, improved AI for Pets and Enemies, bigger stash, quick item pickup, higher stack limits, speed setting, Steam Mod Workshop support etc. Masteries, damage types, unique items and sets have all been reworked as well.
