Blizzard has announced StarCraft: Remastered, an updated version of StarCraft 1 and its expansion Brood War, which will feature new graphics textures, along with support for 4K Ultra HD monitors. The news comes after rumours of the same were spotted in Korea, where StarCraft has a massive fan following.
Finally you can play the game without the annoying black bars on the side, and also have better portraits, menu, etc. You can zoom out and zoom in, enjoy the new revised audio with the re-recorded versions of the original soundtrack and dialogue. The game will also support online multiplayer.

It is not clear how much the Starcraft Remastered edition will cost, but we could see it priced similar to the original Anthology.

The original classic version of the game, StarCraft: Brood War will be made free for all gamers to enjoy. The transition of StarCraft Anthology, will happen later this week, while we wait for the game to be updated to Version 1.18. This new update will add support for Windows 7, 8/8.1 and Windows 10, along with a slew of bug fixes, ability to rebind keys, observer mode, anti-cheat measures, etc.
