Spice Mobiles has launched the first Firefox OS phone in the country, Spice Fire One Mi – FX 1, and it costs less than $40.
Now that we have piqued your interest, let’s take a look at the technical specifications of the phone.
Display: 3.5” HVGA capacitive display (480 x 320 pixels).
Processor: 1GHz single-core.
Camera: 2 Megapixel rear camera, 1.3 Megapixel front camera.
SIM: 2G Dual SIM
The phone comes with pre loaded apps such as Connect A2, Facebook Twitter, and also has offers unique features like Adaptive App Search or the Single Window Search.
It will also support many Indian languages, including Bangla, Hindi and Tamil.
The Spice Fire One will be available exclusively at online retail store Snapdeal for a while, following which other webstores and Spice hotspots will also retail the phone. The phone will be officially released on August 29th an d is priced at Rs. 2,299 (about $38).
Firefox OS phones may have to struggle to thrive the competition from the more expensive Android, iOS and Windows Phones.
