Sid Meier's Civilization VI system requirements announced

Firaxis and 2K Games have officially announced the system requirements needed to run Sid Meier' Civilization VI. Although you won't be needing a high end computer to play the turn based strategy game, you will still need a 64-bit PC to run it.

  • PROCESSOR: Intel Core i3 2.5 Ghz or AMD Phenom II 2.6 Ghz or greater
  • MEMORY: 4 GB RAM
  • HARD DRIVE: 12 GB or more
  • DVD-ROM: Required for disc-based installation
  • GRAPHICS CARD: 1 GB DirectX 11 Video Card (AMD 5570 or nVidia 450)

RECOMMENDED

  • OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows 7 64bit / 8.1 64bit / 10 64bit
  • PROCESSOR: Fourth generation Intel Core i5 2.5 Ghz or AMD FX8350 4.0 Ghz or greater
  • MEMORY: 8 GB RAM
  • HARD DRIVE: 12 GB or more
  • DVD-ROM: Required for disc-based installation
  • GRAPHICS CARD: 2 GB DirectX 11 Video Card (AMD 7970 or nVidia 770 or greater)

The minimum requirements are quite low, and most older PCs should be able to run Civilization 6 quite well. Here's what we know about the 4X game so far. There will be singleplayer campaigns and multiplayer, and the usual lead your civilization through the ages, this time, from the Stone Age to the Information Age, to rule the World gameplay, and also includes AI World leaders with historical traits. The game lets cities expand across the map tiles, so they can really span across the World Map.

Civilization 6's tech tree will be voiced by renowned actor Sean Bean, who played Boromir in the Lord Of the Rings.

Civilization VI will be released on October 21sh. The game is available for pre-order from Steam for Rs. 2,499 ($59.99 in the U.S).  The Deluxe Edition is available for pre-order for Rs. 3,299 ($79.99). It includes the following bonus content:

  • 25th Anniversary Digital Soundtrack
  • Access to four post-launch DLC packs with new maps, scenarios, civilizations and leaders
  • Aztec Civilization Pack pre-order bonus: (Leader: Montezuma, Unique Unit:, Eagle Warrior, Unique Building: Tlachtli and Wonder: Huey Teocalli)

The Aztec Civilization Pack is exclusive to the Deluxe Edition for 90 days, after which the content will be released for Free for all owners of the game.
