Earlier today, we reported that the 3 colour variants of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus had been leaked ahead of the launch. To be honest, the only thing which we do not know so far, has been the price, and guess what, now we do.
Evan Blass reports that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be priced at 799€ (including tax), which we think might be around $700 in the US before taxes, or Rs. 45,000 in India.
Note: We are calculating the price by subtracting 20% off the Euro prices for VAT, and then converting it to USD.
The Galaxy S8 Plus will be priced at 899€ (720 before tax), so the US and India pricing might be $775, and Rs. 50,000. Calculating the VAT @ 5%, this puts the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus prices in India at Rs. 47,250 and Rs. 52,500. In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S7 was launched for Rs. 48,900, and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge was priced at Rs. 56,900 in India.
The DeX dock, which functions similar to Windows 10’s Continuum, will be priced at 150€ (120 before tax), or around $129 and Rs. 8,500. The Gear VR and Gear 360 will carry a price tag of 129€ and 229€ (104 and 184 before tax) respectively, which might be $110 or Rs. 7300 and $184 or Rs. 13,000.
