Samsung is reportedly set to use a new voice assistant for its system apps, on the Galaxy S8. And this voice assistant will be called as Bixby.
Bixby will be powered by an artificial intelligence platform, developed by Viv. Samsung had acquired Viv Labs, about 3 months ago, and has already filed a trademark for Bixby in its home country.
The new voice assistant, Bixby, will replace S Voice, and will work with all of Samsung's apps.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S8, at the start of the second quarter of 2017, a couple of months later than its usual schedule. It may be because of the delay of Snapdragon 835, though it is a rumour which Qualcomm officially denied. The Samsung Galaxy S8 will allegedly come in two screen sizes, a 5.0 and 6.0 inch displays, which are 2K Super AMOLED dual curved edge displays. The device is also rumored to feature a USB Type-C port, a better rear camera, and an autofocus assisted front camera, an optical fingerprint scanner, and may skip on the 3.5mm headphone.
Rumours are rumours, let's wait for the official announcement before jumping to conclusions, and hope for the best.
