Ubisoft is celebrating its 30th anniversary by giving away a bunch of stuff over the next 30 days. And to get the giveaways running, it has made its popular game, Rayman Classic free on Android and iOS.
The mobile version of the game is a port of the Playstation 1 game from 1995. In fact, if you have a copy of the PSX game, you can emulate it on your device with ePSXe or FPse for android.
If Rayman Classic is crashing for you, try disabling the Contacts permission. That fixed it for me.
Now, why am I saying that? It's because, the only problem with the Rayman Classic, is that it has ads with an IAP to go ad-free. Usually this is fine, but the game was a premium one which Ubisoft has made free with ads. And previous owners of the game are getting ads, with an option to go ad-free for a one time payment of Rs. 60.
This is unethical and Ubisoft should have released a free version of the game separately. But if you are playing it for the first time, you may like getting it for free.
