Nokia is about to launch its rebooted version of the Nokia 3310 classic phone, but it seems an online retailer has jumped the gun by revealing the price tag of the device. The device doesn't seem as inexpensive as we thought it would be.
While Nokia mentions often on Twitter, that the global estimated price of the phone will be close to €49 (which is around Rs.3420), OnlyMobiles has listed the device for Rs. 3,899.
The extra amount could be because of taxes, but the price is nevertheless quite high for a basic phone which just offers 2G connectivity.
The retailer lists all 4 colours of the Nokia 3310: Warm Red, Dark Blue, Grey and Yellow. Though the page itself does look legitimate, the pictures of the phone are what we have seen already, even the on-screen time and icons are identical to previously released press renders So we are not sure about the credibility of this leak, especially since there is no official word about the pricing of the Nokia 3310 ,from its parent company, HMD Global.
Nokia has been constantly reassuring excited fans that the company will e launching its new phones sometime between April-June, i.e. the2nd Quarter of this year. With just a few days for April to end, we could be seeing the launch, or at least hear a proper release date announcement soon.
