Photos, box shots, and the technical specifications of the Moto Z2 Play have been leaked ahead of launch, on Weibo. The device, touted as “the Moto X’s successor”, sports a 5.5 inch Full HD 1090p display, and has 64GB of storage with 4GB of RAM.
The device is rumoured to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor, and will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
The Moto Z2 Play has a physical button on the front, which acts a s the fingerprint scanner. This is likely very similar to the Moto G5 Plus' gesture control button, with swipe controls.
The top left of the front panel on the Moto Z2 Play seems to have a front facing flash for the selfie camera, which is on the other edge. The main camera is a 12 megapixel dual pixel camera setup, which has laser autofocus.
Speaking of which, Motorola continues with the Moto 360 watch’s dial-like design style for the main camera on its Phones.
The Moto Z2 Play supports Moto Snaps, whioch is basically the new term for Moto Mods, as is evidenced by the back panel, which has the attachment points. The phone is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery.
