Microsoft will stop the support for the Visual Studio 2005 which was released on October 2005. That means no more security updates and technical support for the product. The support will end on April 12, 2016. The support for the .NET framework 2.0 also will end on the same day.

While support for Visual Studio 2005 Team Foundation Server will get a little more extension, July 12th 2016.
So it is the time to upgrade your Visual Studio if you are still running the old Visual Studio 2005 which came before Twitter, jQuery, Google Analytics and Blu-ray movies
