Jak and Daxter for PS4 could be launched soon, as the collection has been listed on the PlayStation website ahead of the official launch. Earlier in April 2017, Sony announced that Naughty Dog is prepping to bring back the classic PS2 games to the current gen console.
It is unlikely that the games will be remastered versions however, as the listing clearly indicates they will support 1080p rendering, trophies, etc. But that should not deter gamers looking for a bit of nostalgia.
The games which will be available as part of the collection for the PS4 are: Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II, Jak 3 and Jak X: Combat Racing.
The words "Purchase and download these games from PlayStation Store", were confusing for us too, as the games are not available on the store yet. The games have been rated by ESRB already, and has a generic 2017 release date.
Also the line "These titles have been converted from the original PlayStation 2 version to the PS4 system", make us really wish Sony could convince Rockstar to do the same, with a PS3 game like Red Dead Redemption. With the sequel coming next year, what could be a better way to promote it than to release it for the PS4?
