Get Borderlands GOTY, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing Final Cut for $1 from Humble Bundle

Humble Bundle is back with a spectacular offering, with its Endless RPG Lands Bundle. If the name sounds weird, it is a play on the names of the games featured in the bundle.

Humble Endless RPG Lands Bundle

Here's what the $1 tier aka the Pay what you want category gets you.

  • Borderlands: Game of the Year (includes all DLCs)

  • The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut (includes all 3 games from the trilogy)

  • Wurm Unlimited

The Beat the average tier aka BTA (currently at $4.95) nets you all of the above and these:

  • Endless Legend - Classic Edition

  • Borderlands 2 Plus DLCs (not all, just a few)

  • Guild of Dungeoneering

Humble Endless RPG Lands Bundle 2

If you cash out $10, you can get all of the above games along with Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

Humble Endless RPG Lands Bundle 3

They might has well called it the Borderlands bundle plus some extra games. So, is the Endless RPG Lands Bundle worth it?

Let's break it down and see.

The $1 is a must have for anyone who is a fan on FPS or ARPG games. Borderlands (and Borderlands 2 and TPS) is sort of like a hybrid of Diablo 2 (with its loot system) and a FPS. You can play as various characters each with their own skill tree and weapons specialty. The games offer many hours of single-player campaign, and also supports multiplayer.

Van Helsing is very similar to Diablo 2 and 3, and features good graphics, neat skill trees, in a vampire hunter setting. You will easily get your money's worth with it.

Wurms Unlimited. Not much to say about this, it is kind of an MMO (also has single-player), dated graphiocs, a crafting system, and was supposedly one of Notch (Minecraft creator's projects). Personally, having never played this I can't comment on it, but considering that you are getting 2 other brilliant games with it, it's probably worth it.

The BTA tier is a mixed bag. Endless Legend is one of the best 4X games ever made. If you have never played a 4X game, this is a great one to start with and has an easy learning curve, and the fact that it has a fantasy setting (Elves, goblins, etc) could appeal to Total War: Warhammer fans too.

Guild of Dungeoneering is a card based dungeon crawler, with an odd twist. Instead of playing as the hero, you build the dungeon around him by adding rooms, monsters, traps. It is a turn based game.

Borderlands 2 offered in this bundle does not have all the DLCs. There are 46 in total (yes it is not a joke), most of which are cosmetic add-ons.  You only get the following in the bundle:

  • Psycho Character Pack

  • Mechromancer Character Pack

  • Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack

  • Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2

None of these 4 DLCs add any campaign stories. Still, Borderlands 2 is a great game especially if you played the first one. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel adds more fun, so if you want to play more of the same kind it could be worth the $10.

So, go ahead and buy the Endless RPG Lands Bundle now. Also, while you are at the page, consider getting the Stardock Bundle featuring Sorcerer King: Rivals, Fallen Enchantress, Galactic Civilization III, Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion, Offworld Trading Company, Ashes of the Singularity and more. I recommend the BTA tier for the Stardock Bundle.
