1. Click start => Run
2. Enter winver and press OK
3. This will display the
a. Windows version
b. Copy right message
c. Registered user
d. Physical memory available to Windows.
Windows 8 and 8.1 users, The windows version will be displayed as Windows 8, but you can clearly find whether it is Windows 8 or 8.1 by reading further down. see the image above.
