Honor has officially launched the Honor 6X budget smartphone, at the CES 2017 tech show. The device is the successor to the popular Honor 5X.
The Honor 6X features a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p display with a brightness of 450nit, and a pixel density of 403 PPI. The display is designed to work even in direct sunlight, and also has a built-in eye comfort mode, to filter blue light. The phone measures 8.2mm in thickness, and has a combination of metal bodu and 2.5D curved glass, which is scratch-resistant.
The ohone runs on EMUI 4.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but Honor has said that it will be updated to EMUI 5.0based on Android 7.0 Nougat, in Q2 this year
The Honor 6X is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 655 octa-core 16nm processor, and comes in two variants: one with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, and the other with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Both variants support upto 128GB of external memory, via an SD card slot. The key highlight of the Honor 6X is the dual lens rear camera which comprises of a 12 megapixels SONY IMX386 sensor and a 2 megapixels sensor, which support a wide aperture range of f/0.95 to f/16, Phase Detection Auto Focus, 1.25µm pixel size, a Prim ISP and DTI pixel isolation technology. The selfie lens on the device is an 8 megapixels front camera, with a 77° wide angle lens and a Prim ISP.
The Honor 6X is backed by a 3340mAh battery which supports 5V/2A fast charging. The phone has a rear placed fingerprint scanner, which can unlock your phone in 0.3 seconds.

The Honor 6X has been priced at $249 in the U.S (249€ in Europe) for the unlocked in 3GB/32GB storage variant, while the 4GB/64/GB storage variant will retiual for $299 (299€ in Europe).
