Google Pixel Taimen with 4GB RAM, Android O spotted on Geekbench

Google's upcoming mystery device, the Taimen has been spotted on benchmarking website, Geekbench. Though the listing does not mention much, we do have some information about the device, which has been previously reported about.

Google Taimen Benchmark

Firstly, the Taimen scored 1804 in single-core and 6248 in multi-core. We don't know if the Taimen is a phone or a tablet, but in comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S8 scored 1929 in single-core and 6084 in multi-core respectively.

So the Taimen clearly outshined the S8 in multi-core results. Speaking of which the former has been listed as running on an octa-core Qualcomm processor clocked @ 1.90 GHz.

The Snapdragon 835 has 8 cores, 4 Kryo 280 cores which have a maximum clock speed of 2.45GHz, while the other 4 Kryo 280 cores (power efficient ones) have a clock speed of 1.9GHz. So it is likely that the Taimen which was benchmarked, was one powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset.

The Taimen reportedly has 4GB of RAM and runs on Android O. There are rumours which claim that the Taimen is a tablet, which could be like the Nexus 7. We will believe that when he have some evidence though, after all there was none last year despite rumours suggesting one.
