Google have launched a new domain registration service called Google Domains.
According to Google, 55% of small businesses do not have their own website. The Mountain View based search giant, aims to change that, and help small businesses, carve an online presence, with their newly launched service.
Business owners can make use of it to search, find, purchase and transfer the best domain for their business, no matter the extension, be it a .com, .biz, .org. Additionally, Google will also help customers build their websites, by providing website creation services, such as Shopify, Squarespace, Weebly, and Wix.com to name a few. Optionally, users will also be able to buy premium hosting, customizable web templates, e-commerce, mobile site-management, etc. More tools are likely to be added to the service, which can be accessed at the Google Domains page.
GD isn’t public yet, and is currently available as an invite only service. It will be rolled out globally, after obtaining user feedback during the testing period.
