GOG is once again giving away DRM-Free copies of some games, which you own on Steam, through the GOG Connect promotion which debuted earlier this year. This time they are handing out some great gems, such as the Sim City like real time simulation game series, Tropico (Banana Republic).

Simply login to your GOG account, and visit the GOG Connect page. Link your Steam account using the button on the page. Make sure your profile is set to public, so it can be synced, and scroll down the page to see your available games, and click on the Add Games button, to get them in your library for free.
Tropico 2 and 3 seem to have some issues, at least for me, are not downloading via the GOG Galaxy client, which gives a download failed message, and displays something about a server problem.The other games are downloading fine via GOG Galaxy though. And, I was also getting a 403 forbidden error on GOG, when trying to download the files via my browser yesterday. Today, however, I am able to download the files through Firefox and IDM. But the GOG Galaxy is still giving the same error.
We are not sure how long this promo lasts, but given that the GOG Winter Sale ends on December 11th. we think the GOG Connect promo will end on the same day.
