Gears of War Ultimate Edition System Requirements were leaked ahead of launch, by none other than Microsoft itself.
The Redmond company accidentally released the game, on the Windows Store, and took it down.
And yes, it appears that the remastered version of the 2006 hit, will be exclusive to the Windows Store. To be more precise, it could be a Windows 10 exclusive. That is what the specifications suggest.

The requirements do seem to be exceedingly high for a remastered version. And for gamers who wish to play the game in 4K, you are looking at an Intel Core i7 or AMD FX 8-core with a Geforce GTX 980 Ti or Radeon R9 390X graphics card and an SSD Hard Drive.
The single player campaign has five new missions featuring the Delta Squad's battle to reach Timgad Station. Additionally there are 5 new Gears of War comic books in the game. Online gamers also have reasons to rejoice, with new multiplayer modes like Team Death Match, King of the Hill, Blitz and a special 2v2 mode designed by the Gears of War community.
The game has new Xbox Live Achievements, Gamerscore, gameplay improvements, alternate controls, new difficulty level for new players, and gamepad support as well. There is a Deluxe Weapon Skin Pack and 11 bonus multiplayer characters for the Windows 10 version of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. The remastered version supports Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound.
