The official trailer for the third film in the Expendables franchise has been released.
Spoiler Alert: A three line plot summary follows the list of the cast.
The original cast of the 7 stars return to the screen:
- Sylvester Stallone – as Barney Ross
- Jason Statham – as Lee Christmas
- Dolph Lundgren – as Gunner Jensen
- Jet Li – as Yin Yang
- Randy Couture – as Toll Road
- Terry Crews – as Hale Caesar
- Arnold Schwarzenegger – as Trench.
The story revolves around Barney and Conrad Stonebanks (Mel Gibson plays the villain) who co-founded the Expendables ten years ago. Barney’s team has to deal with Stonebanks, who has become a ruthless arms dealer. Barney was supposed to have been forced to kill Stonebanks, but apparently he survived. To defeat him Barney and his team recruit more members who join the Expendables’ bandwagon.
The list of new recruits to the team includes:
- Harrison Ford – as Max Drummer
- Wesley Snipes – as Doc
- Kelsey Grammer – as Bonaparte
- Antonio Banderas – as Galgo
- Kellan Lutz – as Smilee
- Ronda Rousey – as Luna
- Victor Ortiz – as Mars
- Glen Powell – as Thorn
The trailer video begins with the Expendables’ Helicopter giving chase to a Train filled with enemy Soldiers. The team infiltrates the train, in what appears to be a rescue mission to get Wesley Snipes to safety, and then recruit him.The rest of the trailer shows various scenes from the movie, including some amazing stunts and the combat skills of the Expendables.
