Do you know Easter Island statues have bodies

First of all it is not a new news that the Easter Island statues which is known as Moai have bodies. The Moai is created by Rapa Nui people. The Chilean archeologist names Claudio Cristino restored them in 1990s and Archaeologists have known it since 1919.  Recently this news was spreading over social media. and many thought that it is a hoax just like the Skelton of a big man etc.

The pictures which is spreading of the excavation with them are also true. You can read more about this Easter Island Statue project on their official website to get more details about this.

The project's director Jo Anne Van Tilburg, Ph.D, writes:

"While many statues have individual petroglyphs, these and only one other statue—of over 1,000 we have documented—have  multiple petroglyphs carved as a composition on their backs.  Underlying these carvings is a complex symbol found on less than 100 statues. It is referred to by previous researchers as the "ring and girdle" design, and sometimes said to represent the "sun and rainbow." via yahoo
