BlackBerry has officially launched its DTEK50 and DEK60 Android phones in India. The former is a mid range phone, while the latter is a hign end flagship.
The DTEK50 is powered by a octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor with 3GB of RAM, an Adredno 405 GPU, and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The device features a 5.2-inch 1080p Full HD display, with a scratch-resistant glass with Oleophobic coating to prevent fingerprint smudges. The phone has 16GB of internal storage with a microSD card which supports up to 2TB of expandable storage.
The device is backed by a 2610 mAh battery, which supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0. Photography options on the device include a 13 megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detect Auto Focus, a Dual LED flash and 1080p video recording. The selfie lens is an 8 megapixel front camera with an f/2.2 aperture, 84° wide angle lens, but it does not have auto focus. Connectivity options on the DTEK50 include a Nano SIM card slot, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, NFC, 3.55mm audio jack, and more. It also has various sensors including a Gyroscope for Virtual Reality.

The DTEK60 is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB of RAM, an Adredno 530 GPU. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and features a 5.5-inch 1440p 2K Quad HD AMOLED display, with a pixel density of 534 ppi. The phone has 32GB of internal storage with a microSD card which supports up to 2TB of expandable storage.
The device is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery, which supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0. Photography wise, the DTEK60 has a 21 megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX230 sensor, an f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detect Auto Focus, a Dual LED flash and s capable of recording 4K videos. The selfie lens is similar to that of the DTEK50, with an 8 megapixel front camera with an f/2.2 aperture, 84° wide angle lens. The deivice features a fingerprint scnner on the rear. Connectivity options are similar to the DTEK50, and the DTEK60 is also VR ready with a Gyroscope sensor.
