Android 7.0 Nougat update for HTC 10 rolls out in the US

The Android 7.0 Nougat update for the HTC 10 is officially rolling out to users in the U.S. The news comes directly from HTC's USA Twitter account.

HTC 10 Nougat update

There is no official changelog as to what is new in the firmware, besides the usual Nougat features like Multiwindow, Quick Reply, etc. And the update is only available for the unlocked variant of the HTC 10. So if you have a carrier locked variant, expect the update to reach you after a while, well it quite literally depends on your carrier’s update standards.

There is no word about the Nougat update being rolled out to HTC 10 devices sold in other regions like Asia, the Middle East or Europe.  But it may not be very long before the update will be made available to other unlocked variants. Still, it is nice to see that HTC has updated its flagship phone quickly. In fact, it has beat many OEMs to the punch by releasing the update, like OnePlus, which has promised the update to the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T to Nougat in December.

Recently, Motorola announced the Nougat update roll out for its 2016 flagship devices, the Moto Z Force and the Moto Z, and the update brings Daydream VR support to the Phones.
