Android 7.0 Nougat update for ASUS Zenfone 3 Deluxe rolls out

The Android 7.0 Nougat update for ASUS Zenfone 3 Deluxe is rolling out, the company announced on its forums today. The flagship phone from the Taiwan Electronics Giant, is one of the first from the company to be updated to the latest version of Android.

The update is available for is the ZenFone 3 Deluxe ZS550KL, and version number of the Android N update is 22.40.26.43. Surprisingly, the release notes for the update does not mention new additions, but only has the details of what has been removed from the firmware.

ASUS has removed the Share Link option, previously available in Marshmallow, and recommends users to use its ASUS File Manager app for Android for sharing files across LAN or the ZenLink app for Windows and Android. Shortcuts for Audio Wizard, Splendid, System update and Flashlight have been purged from the all apps menu, and these can now be found from the System Settings menu, except for he flash light which is now available from the Quick Settings menu. The torchlight can still be accessed from the apps menu, if you updated the app from the Play Store prior to updating the app. ZenMotion no longer has the ShakeShake option. Live Wallpapers such as Holo Spiral, Bubbles, Black Hole, and Phase Beam have been removed in the update.

ASUS says that that it will take a week for the update to roll out, but you can check for the update manually by navigating to Settings > About > System Update.
