Google Pixel 2 XL render leaked in 2 colours, prices start at $849

The Google Pixel 2 XL which is set to be launched in October 4th (in the US), has been leaked by Droid Life. The phone will be available in two colours Black and White, and "Just Black".

The second name is just as silly as the 1st gen device's (Quite Black, Really Blue, Very Silver). Also it does seem too close to the Apple iPhone's Jet Black.

Design wise, it does look similar to the Google Pixel but has a smaller matte portion on the back panel. The look is kind of non-premium, especially with the fingerprint scanner which resembles that of every other phone. There is a single rear camera on the Pixel 2 XL, which is a bit surprising considering almost every premium device has dual cameras now.  Don’t get me wrong, the Pixel 1st gen still has one of the best camera on a phone, but a second sensor could work wonders, such as what the LG V30 promises.

The Google Pixel 2 XL has been priced at $849 (which is around Rs. 55,000). This is about $80 more expensive than the 1st gen Pixel XL. And that is for the 64GB variant, the 128GB variant will cost $949.

In a world where you can get a budget phone for $200 which has almost the same performance for regular usage (and custom ROMs), except for the difference in camera quality, let me ask you. Is the camera worth spending an extra $650 ?
