Apple iPad Air 2 may have 2 GB of RAM, could be launched in October

Apple launched the 9.7 inch iPad Air in October 2013, with 1 GB of RAM.

And it appears that the Cupertino company, will be upgrading the tablet’s successor, the Apple iPad Air 2 with 2 gigs of RAM.

This comes from a news report from China, which also says that the second generation iPad mini with Retina display, would stick with 1GB RAM.

Both devices are rumored to feature a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, built into the home button (similar to the iPhone 5s)and will be powered by A8 processors.

The tablets are expected to be launched in October, while the iPhone 6 is scheduled for launch on September 9th.
