India’s first Augmented reality book is released, Muzreesiloode, a book written by Niraksharan (Manoj Raveendran) which is written in Malayalam and published by Mentor books. The book is a collection of articles published in the Mentor magazine and also few more additional chapters.There were magazines and newspapers tried Augmented reality , while this will be the first book published in India and first travelogue in the world .
Augmented reality is a live direct or indirect view of a physical, real-world environment whose elements are augmented by computer-generated sensory input such as sound, video, graphics or GPS data. It is related to a more general concept called mediated reality, in which a view of reality is modified by a computer. As a result, the technology functions by enhancing one’s current perception of reality. By contrast, virtual reality replaces the real world with a simulated one. Augmentation is conventionally in real-time and in semantic context with environmental elements, such as sports scores on TV during a match. With the help of advanced AR technology the information about the surrounding real world of the user becomes interactive and digitally manipulable. The book Muzreesiloode enables users to watch the videos of the places referred in the book and if you want to visit those places it can provide you the GPS position of the places using an Android smart phone and application developed for it. The book will have 40 videos and more than 100 photos.
