Airtel provides another feature called Call me back SMS alert for FREE for the Airtel Prepaid users. What if you do not have enough balance on your phone, but you need to contact your friend urgently ?it where this feature will help you. Earlier we have posted How to transfer balance from one Airtel number to another which can also help in such situations.
How to send FREE Call me back SMS
There two methods to do this.
First method
1. Dial #141# from your mobile. You will receive a response like the below image
2. Select answer and enter option 7 that is Call me Back SMS and send.
3. If you have a balance of more than one rupee, you will receive a message saying you are not qualified to use this feature. Otherwise on the next screen enter the phone number of the recipient and an SMS will be send to that number on your behalf.
Second Method
This is more easier way
Send a SMS with the following content to 141
CALL <mobile number>
The recipient will receive an SMS with “Please call me back. Thank you”.
This is a FREE service, but you can use this for a maximum of 5 times in a month when your balance is below INR.1
