Halo Wars 2 System Requirements revealed

Microsoft has revealed the PC system requirements for its upcoming Real Time Strategy game, Halo Wars 2. The required specificaions, are available on the Xbox website.

And yes, Halo Wars 2 seems to be a Windows 10 exclusive game, at least that’s what the news so far indicates. Microsoft is making it an Xbox anywhere game, meaning, you can buy it once and play it on your Xbox One or Windows 10 PC, and hence will not be sold on Steam.

So, that’s pretty much a huge dissapointment. But on the bright side, you will get Halo Wars Definitive Edition, the remaster of the original Xbox RTS game, also debuting with its successor.

  • Operating System: 64-bit Windows 10
  • DirectX Version: DirectX 12 (Feature Level 11)
  • CPU: AMD FX-4350 or Intel i5-2500 and above
  • Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7750 or Intel HD 4000 with 2GB VRAM and above
  • RAM: 6GB
  • HDD: 25GB of storage space

  • DirectX Version: DirectX 12 (Feature Level 11)
  • CPU: AMD FX-8350 or Intel Core i5-4690K and above
  • Graphics Card: AMD RX 480 or NVIDIA GTX 1060 with 4GB VRAM and above
  • RAM: 8GB
  • HDD: 25GB of storage space

Halo Wars Definitive Edition Minimum System Requirements

  • Operating System: 64-bit Windows 10
  • DirectX Version: DirectX 11
  • CPU: Intel Core i3 or above
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M or AMD Radeon R5 or Intel HD Graphics 4200 with 512MB VRAM and above
  • HDD: 10GB of storage space

Halo Wars Definitive Edition Recommended System Requirements

  • Operating System: 64-bit Windows 10
  • DirectX Version: DirectX 11
  • CPU: Intel Core i5 or above
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GTX 560, 650, 750 or AMD HD 5850, 6870, 7790  with 1GB VRAM and above
  • HDD: 10GB of storage space

Halo Wars 2 will be released on February 17, 2017, while the Standard Edition will be available from February 21st.
