Android O beta released for Pixel, XL, C, Nexus 5x, 6 and Player

The Android O beta program is now live, as announced by Google during the I/O 2017 conference. This is the O Developer Preview 2, and it is only available for its most recent devices in the Pixel and Nexus line up.

More specifically, these are the devices eligible for the beta.

  • Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player
  • Pixel C, Pixel, Pixel XL

How to get the Android O beta version?

It is quite simple really. All you have to do, is just visit the official Android beta website from your device, and sign in to it with your Google account. Select to opt your device in to the beta program, and you will get OTA updates as soon as Google releases it. Please backup all your data before opting in to the program, and also before leaving it, should you decide to. Users who previously opted in to the Android N Beta Program, must re-enroll to get the Android O beta.

Remember that this beta is to collect feedback from users, and that it is not meant to be used as a daily driver, because it has some issues.
