Viber for Windows 8 gets the Sticker Market, Notification Sounds & more

Popular cross-platform VOIP & messaging service Viber, just received a massive update for the Windows Phone 8.

Viber’s sticker market has been gaining popularity amongst users of the Android, iOS and the Desktop app, since it was introduced last November. And, the latest version brings the much loved Sticker Market for Windows Phone devices, allowing users to download all the free and paid stickers to their devices.

 

That’s not all, the update also brings some new features such as the ability to hide notification content , using Viber’s built in notification sounds for incoming notifications, and faster push notifications.

 

You can also view your contact’s online status, including when they were last seen online, and also get message status details like, whether your message has been seen by the recipient.

 

Other important features from the update include,

Group capacity increased to 100 members. Whether you want to share with your nearest and dearest or just send a message to a large group of people, Viber groups let you get in touch with even more people, all in one place.

Add descriptions to your photos. Your photos and their descriptions go hand-in-hand - send them that way! ​

High quality thumbnails. Media message thumbnails in the conversation screen are now enlarged and high quality.  ​​

Spellchecker. Viber will now use your device's AutoSuggest and spellchecker functions when typing in a conversation (one-on-one or group). ​

Emoji to emoticon translation. You'll always get the right emoticons with automatic Emoji to Viber emoticon translation.
