The 2nd Doodle 4 Google competition for children in India is lauched

We hope you remember the doodle 4 google competition conducted by Google last year. Google announces the 2nd Doodle 4 Google competition in India to celebrate the Children’s Day on 14th November, 2010. Last year's theme was 'My India' and the winner was Puru Pratap Singh.

The theme for doodle for this year is ‘My dream for India’ -encouraging young doodlers to imagine what India would be like in two decades from now and capture those images in color and paper.

All children studying in India from 5 to 16 years are invited to the competition. The winner's doodle will appear in Google India's homepage on November 14, 2010 and he/she will receive a technology starter package including a laptop, a year’s Internet connection and a Rs 2,00,000 technology grant for the school that he/she represents.

The participants are divided into three categories- Class 1 to 3 , Class 4 to 6 and Class 7 to 10. All the 45 final entries selected by a celebrity panel of judges will be displayed on the gallery for the public to vote and based on the those votes, one winner from each category will be selected. Each of these winners will receive a laptop. Dennis Hwang, the official Google Doodler, will choose the final Doodle from the finalists. So this year there will be 4 winners in the competition.
