Xiaomi India has announced a new device launch, scheduled for January 19th. And it is likely that the device could be the Redmi Note 4X.
The phone is quite similar to the Redmi Note 4, except for the fact that it won’t be powered by a MediaTek processor, as Xiaomi is banned from selling phones with MTK chipsets in India, for violating a patent belonging to Ericsson. The Redmi 4X features a 5.5" 1080p Full HD display, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor, with 4GB of RAM. The phone has 64GB of on board storage. The phone sports a 13 megapixel rear camera with Phase Detect Auto Focus, and a 5 megapixel front camera. The device has a fingerprint scanner, but unlike the Redmi Note 4, some leaked pictures suggest that the 4X’s sensor, may be embedded in the home button, like in the Mi 5.
The Redmi 4X is backed by a 4100 mAh battery.
