The update adds options to add users to your PS4 as family members, and also allows you to restrict System features using parental controls. Up to 7 members can be added to your family account. You can now follow anyone, previously this was only possible for verified accounts. You automatically follow people you have added as friends, but you can unfollow them.

When the PS4 boots after installing the PS4 System Software Update 5.00, you will be asked to review your privacy settings so you can decide if yo can be followed by others or not.

Czech, Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian, Romanian, Thai and Vietnamese language support have been added to the Messages app. Messages with links which you send, now displays a preview of the linked page, i.e. thumbnail and heading. Stickers for Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and Horizon Zero Dawn have been added to the messages app.

Team Tournament which allows you to join friends to compete with other teams starts tomorrow, October 5, and will support Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, World of Tanks and Mantis Burn Racing.
