Moto X4 Android One with dual cameras leaked

A photo of what appears to be the Moto X4 Android One has been leaked by the ever reliable Evan Blass. The device which will mark a return of partnership between Moto and its former owner Google, has an Android One branding on the back panel, and sports dual cameras.

The design of the device is quite similar to Moto's other phones, except that the cameras don't have the Moto 360 dial-like design. It sort of looks similar though, as if it is the camera’s base without the flat tire on top.

Now, a second rumour from Stephen Hall, of 9to5Google, suggests that the Moto X4 is the cheaper version of the Pixel this year, and that the phone will have a 3.5 mm audio jack. This is not exactly surprising, as in our article about the Xiaomi Mi A1 Android One, we clearly mentioned Jon Gold's words which said "Android One is not limited to mid range, and will span across more devices."

How is this different from a regular Motorola phone with stock Android? Android One devices will be updated to newer Android versions faster, even though the OEMs will manage the updates, in this case Motorola. Also, since Xiaomi does not sell its phones in the US, the Moto X4 Android One will likely be the only way Americans can get an Android One phone. That doesn’t necessarily mean that it will be exclusive to the U.S.
