The Indian Lok Sabha Elections 2014 is started yesterday. The elction will be conducted in many phases from 7 April to 12 May 2014. and the results will be declared on 16th May 2014. On this occasion Google have launched a new online tool named “‘Know Your Candidates”.

The application will help you to search your candidates using your Pin code.

While clicking on a candidate it will show some basic information like Party, Age, Severe Criminal cases, assets, and education. it will also have link which can give more details. I also wanted to say this is not complete, as I could not find all the candidates on my constituency.

Google Says

This tool integrates publicly available information sourced from Indian organizations such as the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), PRS Legislative Research and Liberty Institute India. The tool will provide valuable information for each sitting Lok Sabha MP and contesting candidates such as their disclosed educational background, financial declaration and social media presence (wherever available). The Tool also integrates YouTube candidate bios being produced by Ping Network.

This will be a helpful tool to understand your candidates.
