GOSF – Great Online Shopping Festival is an initiative by Google with more than 400 online shopping portals including Amazon, eBay etc. This started in India on December 12 2012. During this period all the partners will give you huge discounts on many items.
This year 2014, the GOSF is a 3 day event which will start on December 10 and ending on December 12. So if you are planning anything to buy online, it is advised that you hold it for just two more days and check December 10, 11 and 12th for additional discounts. The two new sections added on GOSF 2014 are
Exclusive launch corner – where you will find products which are not yet launched in India and will be available exclusively on Great Online Shopping Festival
Rs. 299 corner – Where all products in this section will cost not more than INR 299 including the shipping and cash on delivery also will be available.

I bought a new Motherboard and processor last year and got a decent discount on them while using the HDFC card.
By the way Flipkart is out of the GOSF but they are offering additional discounts from today (December 8th to December 12) if you are using their phone application. They also offers 10% additional discounts if you are using State Bank Debit card or SBI card.
